Welcome Houston Mustangs!!
Let me introduce myself...
Hi! I am Mrs. M. Smith, and you may call me either Mrs. Smith or Mrs. M (My first name is Miriah). :)
I started teaching at Houston High School in January of 2017. I teach three separate classes this school year, and each class has a page of their own (see tabs above). To get to each class's homepage, which has the Syllabi (where grading policies, classroom rules, etc. can be found), you simply click directly on the class's tab itself. Clickable buttons directing you to each unit will also be found on each homepage as we progress through the year. Power Points, worksheets, videos, and other resources can also be found by hovering over each class and scrolling down to the "unit" page associated with that topic. Class announcements will be sent out via Remind 101, so it is important that all students have enrolled in the Remind for their class. Directions for signing up for my Remind 101 classes are located in the syllabus for each class. I will also be uploading Power Points and classwork into the Schoology LMS system and will use the calendar in that to help keep you updated with what we are doing, but in case the Schoology system goes down temporarily or a student gets locked out, all course material can be found here as well. :)

My Class Schedule This Year Is As Follows:
1st Period: Dual Enrollment Anatomy & Physiology (Biol 2010 & 2011 in the Fall, and BIOL 2020 & 2021 in the Spring.)
2nd Period: Anatomy & Physiology
3rd Period: Anatomy & Physiology
4th Period: Anatomy & Physiology
6th Period: Honors Anatomy & Physiology
7th Period: Planning
If you want to contact me, there are a few ways in which you can do so. You can always email me at [email protected], and I will get back to you as soon as possible, but I do not always check that e-mail over weekends.
The most preferred option is to message me through the remind app, which is probably the fastest way to get an answer, because I usually have my phone with me!
The last option is to comment on an assignment post in Schoology, and when I log on I will get it. However, I do not usually log on unless I need to upload something or check assignment submissions, so I really recommend using Remind instead. :)
Thank you for visiting my site! Go Mustangs!!
