Cardiology Virtual Lab
Remember: Once you finish the lab, and have diagnosed all THREE patients, you need to TYPE YOUR FIRST & LAST NAME & CLASS PERIOD INTO THE BOX INDICATED. WHEN YOU GO TO PRINT, SAVE IT AS A PDF so I can see that you completed it. THEN, you must go to Schoology and upload the to the submission box to get credit for your assignment. IF you cannot get onto Schoology for some reason, then I need a printed out copy with your name typed into the name box for credit. No handwritten answers or printed out sheets with the name not typed in will be accepted, because I cannot tell if you did the work or simply copied it.

Sheep Heart Pre-Lab Instructions
In order to prepare for the lab dissection, here’s what you have to do. This should be done on your own, so that everybody is prepared for the dissection.
Step One: Watch these videos.
Required Video Number 1 (Sheep Heart- External Anatomy):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFblnQcs48Y
*One thing to note on this video is that I believe he incorrectly identifies the second artery coming off of the aorta. He says that it is the left subclavian but it is actually the left common carotid. However, I am not sure if he is pointing to the second or third artery that branches off, so he may be correctly identifying it, but I wanted to make that clear. (Note: you may not have this much of the aorta on your specimen anyway, and so this may be a moot point.)
Required Video Number 2 (Sheep Heart- Internal anatomy):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo4GyqqXsKM
In case you want extra help, this is another REALLY good video to help you with the structures that you will be seeing in lab on Monday.
